I am having issue in selecting a characteristic and do mass change in inspection plan groups. But the system does bring all the characteristic of the selected plan groups. Can someone help me to select only those characteristic that are entered in the selection criteria while selecting the plan for change.

I need the option for my client where He can have the option of deciding at the time of Purchase order creation or at the time of Goods receipt, he can decide weather the good needs to go for Quality inspection lot or to Unrestricted use lot. I have not been able to do the settings for this scenario.

Hi guys I already cross-posted this in a previous discussion (message number 16047078 ) and re-posting as a new discussion thread on advice. We have a mature system and I've been setting up calibration inspections for a while except on this occasion, it doesn't fully work. My orders have been released with inspection Lot assigned. However, when recording result, QE51N 'Result Recording Screen' appears instead of 'Record Results: Characteristic overview'. I can find the lot in QA32 but when I try to record result within that transaction I get the message 'No characteristics found'. I've checked and triple-checked all aspects - MICs, sampling procedure, Task List, validity dates, etc. and have even recreated the plans to no avail. There are no authorisation issues as I have the highest authorisation level within the business - I'm the system owner/manager. I've also run SU53 to be on the safe side. Does anyone know what's going on here? Thanks for your input. Yinka

While recoring record in inspection lot,there is a pop of confrmation prompt as attached. When clicked to save and check in QE03,the same recording not getting saved.
What could be the reasons?

Recently we had a technical upgrade in our ERP system, after that we found when printing shop papers from quality notification, the system pop up below sub-screen:
As you can see, there is a blank area covering half of the screen. Can anybody tell me why the system behaves like this?

we are creating thousands quality info records for specific vendor/material/plant.
our material has several revision levels and if I use QI06, I get the list of all materials AND all revision levels:
that means that I have to select one by one to get the highest revision level.
the problem is that every plant uses another revision level and so table AEOI does not help because I cannot see the plant.
Is there a way that I can find the revision level of all materials according to plant?

I am basically a QM consultant. And I have activated 'Certificate required' for the materials received from vendors as required for my bussiness scenario. It is confirmed during GR creation and also UD taken for the respective Inspection lot. But, this configuration is working fine only for the fresh PO or Scheduling agreement and not working for the existing PO or Scheduling agreement. But, as per my requirement I want this confiuguration and to be activated for the existing PO or SA.
Is there any missing in customizing from my side? Pls help me to comeout of this issue.

Dear experts, I have been testing the above mentioned customer exit (Default Values when Creating a Task) since a while and just came across with an interesting system behavior:
1) If I enter values in the catalog group and code fields on screen they do not get override in the exit despite having the related field contents changed on the E_VIQMSM structure. Any other field from the same field structure can be changed though.
2) In the other hand if I do not enter any value in the catalog group and code fields on screen then I can change (input) them via the customer exit along with other fields.
Has anyone experienced or realized this sort of behavior before? I am not sure whether this is an issue or not...

When I try to perform stock posting to Sample Usage(MVT331) for 04 Inspection Type via Tcode QA11, the costs are charged as part of the production order and not the cost center which is specified in the Plant setting. Our requirement is to ensure that this is absorbed into the QA cost center.
I tried to change the MVT to 201 but am still getting the same result.
Would appreciate if you could share how you would handle such case. Thank you.

Long texts for a defect line item in defect tabs in Quality Notification (QN).
The sceanrio has been described as below in a step process.
Step 1 - Select the required inspection lot in QA32
Step 2 - Do results recordings through QA32 itself
Step 3 - Enter non-confirmity units for any of the characterisitics (could either from task list or from MIC)
Step 4 - Step 3 navigates to defect recordings screen to enter the defect code group and codes...
Step 5 - After entering the group/codes, **the line is selected and activate the QN**
Step 6 - Open the long text for entering the error description.
In Step 6, already an uneditable text is available with some old time stamp. Here need the memebers suggestion and advise from where the text is coming from?
PS: There is no text maintain either for catalog header or code group or codes.
Even a small clue in this would be of great help. Thanks.

I have a query that why we create multiple MIC's in QM?
If we create two MIC's one for qualitative & another for quantitative we can use the same MIC in multiple inspection plans by changing its description and values so why should we create multiple MIC's? What is the use? What will be the drawback?

Hi QM gurus,
I am facing an issue related to key date in the inspection specifications tab of Inspection lot.
The inspection plan for my material(inspection type - 01) is created way back on 23rd May 2013 but the operations and MIC were created on 21st July 2015.
Now, when i do GR for this material, an inspection lot is being generated but it is not showing in QE51N.
I checked the key date in the inspection lot and it is same as the material revision level date.
But the actual system should generate this key date as the current date.
This problem is coming only for this material and for all the other materials the key date is same as the inspection lot created date.
Our user wants to record the usage decision only through QE51N.
Can anyone of you suggest why this revision level is being pulled and that too for only this particular material ?!!

I want to manipulate the download table fo our qm subsystem. I've found two exits in QIRF_SEND_INSP_REQUIRMENTS for this topic:
EXIT_SAPLQIRF_021 before
EXIT_SAPLQIRF_022 after
The idea is just to download those operations which are listed in a seperated table.
So I tried to loop over the table t_qiwltab and delete any entry which is not in my z_...table.
Anyway it seems as if it does not work.
Do you have any idea how I can handle this?
Or are there other exits / bapis for my requirement?

I would like to know how the Quality score can be calculated with reference to the below options in the material master
1. Weighted from Quality score of characterisitcs
2. Weighted from share of scrap for characteristcs
Please let me know what are the important settings needs to be done for this or it would be helpful if you provide any good documents. I checked in help.sap.com and other posts in SCN but couldnt get the clue how we can calculate it
