How to change inventory posting description in inspection lot?

Hi,

 

When we record usage decision (qa11), we can make inventory postings in tab 'Inspection lot stock'. There we can see different posting types, e.g. to unrestricted use, to scrap, etc.

Now we want to change the description of these posting types. I tried IMG -> QM -> Quality inspection -> Inspection lot completion -> Define inventory postings. I could only add or delete posting UD, but cannot change its quantity description as that field is in grey.

Is there any place I can modify those description? through img or enhancement or anything else?

stock posting problem during UD

Hi,

we are facing following problem while stock posting during UD.

we receive material from vendors... make the GR against a Purchase Order.. material goes to quality inspection...we check it and good ones are transferred to Unrestricted use stock & bad ones are to blocked stock .

Now during UD we enter the good qty in unrestricted use field and bad qty in blocked field. Once save UD. good qty moving to Unrestricted use but bad qty not moving to blocked stock. still it showing in quality stock....but when I check in material movements 350 movement is happening.. what could be the reason...

 

check the below case 100 stock received from vendor...tried to do 50 to UU and 50 to blocked stock...

Serial Number missing in MIGO

Hello,

 

I'm having an issue with serial number. In fact, when I do the transaction QA32, the material document is created. But when I check in MIGO, the serial number is missing.

 

I already checked the Work Scheduling in MM03. The serial number profile is well assigned.

I also checked QMSL procedure. The serial number usage is set to 03 (i.e. obligatory)

 

Grateful if someone could shed some light on which direction should I continue to investigate.

Preferred Inspection Type

Dear All,

 

I have a question about 'preferred inspection type' in QM view.

 

We are using 2 inspection types for parts.

 

Type A - vendor inspection ( origin '01' ) :  created by 3rd party system using RFC

Type B - G/R inspection ( origin '01' ) :  created by G/R document

 

Only Type A is activated in QM view and someone check the 'preferred inspection type' in Type A.

 

Even though G/R inspection is not activated and stock type of purchase order is unrestricted,

G/R inspection lot is created when goods receipt purchase order.

 

One strange thing is that  inspection type is not B but A.

 

I wonder why G/R inspection lot was created.

 

I would welcome any helpful comments.

SPC control chart

Hi Gurus,

I have a issue where my control limits were not considered at the time of results recording automatically apart from the spec limits, The system is not showing as defect even though it is above the control limits.

 

Ex: if the upper and lower spec limits are 70 and 50, I have set the control limits as 67 and 53. I assume if I input the value 68 at the time of results recording, it should say a defect. But it is treating the characteristic as accepted.

 

Please let me know if I'm missing something,  I have made the following checks:

QGC2 control chart is active and the control limits, warning limits exist for the characteristics, The characteristic is having a SPC sampling procedure.

"Sap QM Dynamic modification rule behaviour is not according to ISO 2859-1"

Based on ISO 2859-1 Inspection stage should be changed from "Tightened Inspection" to" normal Inspection" if 5 Consecutive lots accepted, also if 5 lots not accepted while on "tightened inspection", leads to discontinue Inspection. But in sap when we have 2 Rejected inspection lots and 3 Accepted inspection lots in tightened stage, we expect no change in quality level, but level will be changed from Tightened to Normal. Because system checks the value of "Insp. since change" field in QDL3, and considers the value as accepted lots, so leads to change in level.

How to solve this issue without Development?

Note:

 

In below link is mentioned that the standard system contains dynamic modification rule S01: "dynamic modification of the inspection severity according to ISO 2859-1, §9.3", but in S01 the number of rejection in tightened inspection is "1" (in ISO 2859-1 it is "5") and also no stage is defined for "Discontinue Inspection" and quality level always remains in tightened inspection however 5 lots rejected while on "tightened inspection".

Multiple specification in recipe

Hi All,

 

We have a requirement where we would like to maintain multiple specification during in-process inspection.i.e. we would like to maintain it in the recipe since we are using process orders. We had maintained multiple spec in inspection plan for 04 inspection type, where we maintained for object type country, and it is working fine.  Can you help us how we can maintain multiple spec for 03 inspection type in recipe?  We are unable to find the object or object type columns in the  material assignment screen.

Routing characteristics - counter in table PLMK?

Hi gurus,

 

I have a situation where I am supposed to identify the routing characteristics which are basically displayed in CA03.

 

I am supposed to do that by:

  1. 1. first searching for the PLNNR in table PLKO where I have only one group counter and one line for my group - so this is pretty simple.
  2. 2. Then I pass the PLNNR to table PLPO where I see that I have 6 nodes and 6 counters - so six line altogether, all in one task list type.
  3. 3. I go to table PLAS where again, using PLNNR I find out that only one of my 6 nodes is deleted - has a deletion indicator therefore, the corresponding operation does not exist. Only one task list type and it is N.

so far so good. The issue rises in step 4:

  1. 4. I go to table PLMK where I enter only the PLNNR, I enter the PLNTY and I get all inspection characteristics assigned. Some of them have deletion flags so I go to step 5:
  2. 5. I try to compare the counters in order to find which is the most current and existing data. As far as I understand, the largest counter for a certain combination of PLNNR+Node+Characteristic is the valid one. However, in CA03 I do not see e.g. characteristic number 10 while in the PLMK table the largest counter for this characteristic does not have a deletion flag; no change number is noted and so on.

 

Can someone assist with explaining the logic of counters in table PLMK and whether there is another table where by counter, PLNNR, Node and characteristic one could fine whether this particular characteristic is blocked? I was looking for a relationship similar to the one with table PLKO and PLAS unfortunately I couldn't find one.

Issue "The incoming quality certificate could not be stored" in QCERT idoc

Hi Experts,

 

We are getting the QCERT idoc from external system for purchase order ,  and when tried to post it gives the message "The incoming quality certificate could not be stored " and the idoc status changes to 52. Please let me know if u have encountered this issue , and had provided any sort of solution to this issue.

Status REL RREC SPCO STUP

Hi All,

 

Inspection lot status REL RREC SPCO STUP  or UD   ICCO SPCO STUP

Agreed if UD code will not select properly then inspection lot status will not come in UD* but sometimes inspection lot qty showing in to be post in fact it has been posted.

Status showing UD   ICCO SPCO STUP but qty showing in to be post and stock posting log also showing qty already posted.

It can be clear from QA11 or QA12 but what is the reason behind this ?

 

Please help in this because entries getting multiple in such cases.

customer complaint notification issue

Can anyone help me to understand the following:

 

We were finding in one of the notification that there were two tasks.

 

Task 1 was Not approved so approver wanted to see the responsible persons comment before he approves the task.

 

While he was trying doing to do so he was not able to see the comment by the responsible person.

 

When we check to see the issue , we have noted that 2nd task was approved by the approver.

 

Does the approved status  of 2nd task would cause the comment in the Ist task to be in-visible.

 

Or could be some other reason .... pl. help.

cut over activities to implement Quality for fg ?

HI Gurus,

 

can any body Let Me know what are the Cut over activities Need to be done Before  Going To Implement Quality management To a Existing FG material.

 

 

At present Business is Not Using Quality process for FG materials know they want activate Quality type 04- GR from Production. so can any body let me Know What are all the Steps need to be taken before implementing the Quality for the FG"s.

 

we will have Pending Production orders,WIP orders, STO orders, Planned orders, sales orders so what will be the Impact if We activate the QM for the FG.

 

 

DO we need to close all the Above Elements Before Activating, please suggest the steps to be taken Before Activating the QM.

Hi,

Inspection Plan & MIC

Hi,

 

I have created MIC (Quantitative) "Weight" with lower limit, Upper Limit and Tolerance Value.

In inspection plan i have assigned MIC "Weight"  to Material A  with following values

Lower Limit =180

Upper Limit=220

and Target =200

 

But when i am assigning  MIC "Weight" to Material B with following values

 

Lower limit 880

Uppert limit 900

Target=900

 

MIC Value of Material A also get changed, How to solve this issue?

Error in Inspection Plan Create BAPI

Dear Members,

 

I am trying to create inspection plan using the BAPI  BAPI_INSPECTIONPLAN_CREATE. However, when I execute it I get an error

"008 Inspection characteristic cannot be uniquely assigned to one operation". This error is coming even when there is only one MIC in operation.

I don t see any issue in data maintenance but this error is not getting resolved.

Can anyone help me on reason of this error?

MRP Generating schedule lines even if i blocked quality info record with one vendor combination

Dear Experts,

 

As per my business requirement if we block the quality info record for few materials (F & F-30) system should not generate any proposals while run the MRP for those materials. Here i have maintained quality info record as Total Block as well as i have maintained correct control key in the material master also, even though if i maintain correct masters also system is generating schedule lines for those materials with vendor combination


please suggest me how to restrict MRP for which ever materials are blocked in the quality info

Task Release not allowed in Quality Notification (Error: IM260)

Hi guys,

 

I am trying to test a security role for my Quality Notification and trying to release the task for items.

 

The current Task Status: TSOS and User Status: INIT. When I try to release the task the system gives error "Status not allowed"

 

Description of the problem:

Message no: IM260

 

Diagnosis:

This refers to an error in central status management

 

Procedure:

Please refer to your system administrator

 

When I try to release the task in Development client it works fine, the issues only arises for the role testing.

 

I checked all my configuration looks fine. The basis guy says the issue might be with configuration and the SU53 results are bogus.

 

Any help in resolving the issue will help me greatly.

 

Further, I also checked other similar post in the community but it did not help me solve the issue.

Hide the "To Unrestricted Use" field from QA11 transaction

Dear All

 

We have a requirement to Hide the " To unrestricted use " and "To Blocked Stock " fields from the Inspection Lot tab in QA11 transaction

Users don't want to see these fields.

 

Can this be achieved ? If so please let me know your views on this

MIC with reference Char.

Hello Gurus.

Please help me on a scenario with your expert opinion.

 

I have 2 Plants A and B. The material is configurable so the specification of the MIC "C" is based on Sales Order Characteristics which is linked to the MIC "C" as a reference Char.

 

the scenario was running fine till we had one plant "A". now we are adding another plant B where MIC "C" is irrelevant and they need MIC "D". I have created MIC "D" and inspection plan for Material A, plant B with MIC "D" but at the time of results recording MIC "C" is also appearing in the inspection lot created for Plant B.

 

MIC "C" was created in plant A

MIC "D" waste created in plant B

 

Can you please advise a way to restrict MIC "C" appearing in inspection lot created in plant B during results recording.

 

Is there any way to restrict MIC of one plant to appear/add in inspection plan/result recording of any other plant.

QEVA0001 is not called while saving usage decision

I want to make some enhancements on usage decision and I found the user exit QEVA0001, I put a break-point in the exit, upon saving usage decision in QA11 no debug session is opened.

 

Please kindly give your insights on my issue.
