I want to add Material Search Stratgey in the drop down menu of Origin of Insp char in QC02.
In SPRO - Im able to create it but what is the function module to be entered or created - what is the purpose of function module.
How can i view the existing function module for other options.
Please guide me through.....

- Can not be delivered to Customer
- Can not be allowed / available to be staged

My inspection lot for qty 23 no's was created after doing GR against PO. While doing Usage decsion for the same, I wanted to post 20 qty to unresticted and 3 qty to reurn to vendor .when I went to the ispection stock tab page in UD , and tried doing the same there was an error while saving the same.
However the ispection lot status changed to UD ICCO SPST.
The stock is still lying in QI stock.I can see that in the stock report MMBE
Now my issue is that I am not able to post the quantity to unresticted stock. While i try to change the inspecton lot in QA12 transaction , the system issues a message that UD is done and hence cannot change.
Please do suggest how I can over come this issue and post stocks to Unresticted stocks

Dear All,
Can Anybody explain me how the sampling schema works in QM, I have created one sampling schema in system with normal inspection, regular inspection and tighten inspection.
But in inspection lot I could not find any difference.
I am creating Quantitative MIC when i try to assign inspection catalogs the system pops a error message
You cannot enter catalog entries associated with catalog type 1 here.
You cannot assign catalogs associated with catalog type 3 to a master inspection characteristic.
Because of the above error message i am not able to assign the defect code also.
In case of Qualitative MIC if i select characteristic attribute i am able to key in code grp & catlogs,this option is not available in case of Quantitative MIC.
How to over come the issue & enter code grp & Catalog
We are in need automatic proposal of goods movement on Goods Receipt against purchase order. If Material is active for QM, then it has to be proposed movement type 103 otherwise it proposed for 101.

When I am assigning sampling procedure to master recipe, the sampling procedure with freely defined inspection point is not coming in F4 list, but if I manually input the required sampling procedure system is accepting it.

Has anyone successfully implemented first artlicle inspection during manufacturing ?
Also during purchase order receipt we can have first article inspection via the Q info record. This workss fine to have the 0101 inspection type for teh first article. However if the first article inspection lot is not dispositioned, the system does not allow me to receive subsequent lots.It says "No inspection lot can be opened for vendor and material". Is it possible to allow the system to allow subsequent receipts to take place though the first article is open ?

Dear All,
While saving quality notification, I wish to made an exit that system should check whether user is authorized for changing the user status. For that I used the user exit QQMA0005 - QM: Check Validity of Status Change but its not at all trigerring. I have tried Badi's also but I cant get the user status field properly.
can you pls tell me the proper user exit or Badi for QM01/QM02 transaction to made a check for User status change?

For QM in goods receipts inspection. We want to make 12 measurements on, let´s say, a wall thickness. I want to make 12 measurements even when I have only one piece, and it´s the same piece.
How to model that? Please advise!

My client needs to restrict the creation of inspection lot at certain work centers although QM is active for all material processed in these work centers.
I am using the function module 'EXIT_SAPLQAAT_002' of QAAT0001 for this purpose. Z04 inspection type ( with Post to insp stock) is maintained for all these material.
A different Z table is there , where material-work center combination is maintained for which no inspection lot is required.
Logic provided so that system searches Material-Work center from production order then compares it with the Material-Work center combination with the maintained Z Table.If both found same then no inspection lot will be generated.
But an error message (Change the inspection stock of material XXXXXX in QM only) appears for all those material while doing confirmation in CO11N . Hence system does not allow to complete confirmation for those material where QM is active.
Please suggest if i am using the correct Exit or any further improvement is required.

inspection lot is created when the inbound delivery is saved (HU management is active, so HU are created in the inbound).
2 question:
- if i delete the inbound, it is possible to automatically delete/change status to the insp lot?
- if i change the qty in the inbound delivery, it is possible to change the isp lot qty automatically?

Hi all,
In my current client, there is a scenario that once Inspection lot is created, users do normal Inspection with 7 samples and if its rejected then they go for tightened Inspection.
I tried to map it through sampling scheme with AQL value and in one document I read that after giving value for 1st sample and clicking on valuation , system will create 2nd sample and it will go like this till 7th sample.
But when I am trying to do result recording, system is not creating next sample, i.e. system is behaving as normal inspection lot do.
Can Anybody helps me to achieve this

I am not able to close old process orders becuase of active inspection lots in the system, Error message is "inspection lot doesnot have necessary data" . I could see there are lot many old inspection lots which are in REL status, I am not able to cance these inspection lots in QA02(option is grayed out) How to cancel these inspection lots which are in REL status?

I already to create LSMW for Inspection Plan follow > QM- LSMW FOR INSPECTION PLAN
When I come to "Create Batch Input Session" and i execute, system error.
Now, I already maintain profile(SPRO > QM > Quality Planning > Inspection Planning > General > Maintain Profiles for Default Values).
Profile: default values plan/general > 0000001 , I already ticked "Entry tool".
Then i go to "Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules" step, I input constant "0000001" in "BIPKO-PROFIDENTZ"
And then i go "Create Batch Input Session" system error same above.
Please help me.

Is it possible with standard SAP when it is create the first inspectio lot for material/vendor ( origin 01) that it takes an inspection plan, and for the next inspection lot that will be created for the same material/vendor ( origin 01) that system takes from another inspection plan ????
Or have i to user a badi/user-exit?? which?

We are in process of Implementing SAP QM using ECC 6.0 and we have one requirement for our "Toll Manufacturer" (Third Party Producers for us). These toll manufacturers produce chemical products for us and do the Quality Checks and Ship to customer. They have their own tool (non SAP) to monitor/record Production Data and Quality Details. During the implementation of QM in our own production facilities globally, we also migrate these toll manufacturer from the existing QM tool they are using to SAP QM.
The need for COA in our own facilities have been meet, but for toll manufacturing sites, the requirement is as below to address:
These toll manufacturers currently generate COAs on “Assembly” products. What this means is that the test data can be pulled from multiple products and then combined on the “Assembly” COA. For example in their current legacy system , toll manufacturers uses “ Assembly ” functionality to capture results for any Component (say C1) and this result is used in various Assemblies (Finished Goods, say F1 and F2). Now while printing COAs they refer the batch / lot result for the C1 to print in Assemblies (F1 , F2) . Is there any such functionality available in SAP Qm or can you please advise how to address this requirement prefrably using standard SAP system?

i have a question regarding inspection lots.
1. If I´m working with inspection type 03, why the system status of the inspection doesn't change, if I set the process order to "Technical completion"?
2. How can I avoid, that "technical completion" within a process order isn't possible, if the inspection lot (04) has still the status Released?
