We are in need automatic proposal of goods movement on Goods Receipt against purchase order. If Material is active for QM, then it has to be proposed movement type 103 otherwise it proposed for 101.

Inspection lot status UD ICCO
Hi experts,
We have an issue with the inspection lot having status UD ICCO. It is not allowing to approve the lot and says disallowed against UD, but UD is not set for the lot.

Solution of Inspection Lot creation
Hi expert,
I am newbie in QM module. I have some question for solution in QM inspetion.
sample
Production Order created order for 100,000 pcs and goods receipt batch split(2,000 per batch), 50 batch per production order.
Then in QM generate 50 inspection lot (inspection lot per batch). Usually QM inspector inspected some batch not all of 50 batch.
How i can result record in SAP only 1 inspection lot for all of 50 batch and 49 inspection lot auto result record and auto UD.
Or
1 Production Order generate 1 inspection lot.

QA16 not showing 03 inspection lot
Hi All ,
I am trying to make collective UD for 03 inspection type lots with QA16 . These lots contain long term MICs also . But when I am executing the tcode I am not able to see the lots in list for a particular material .
1. In QA16 , checkbox for "include long term mic" selected .
2. In RR , all results have been made and are with status 5 .
3. These inspection lots are related to inspection points .
Also when I execute QA40 , then these lots gets saved with the UD . Can anybody help why in QA16 , I am not able to see lots for this material .

09 inspection lot not getting generated
Hi Friends ,
I have one material batch for which next inspection date is 7.6.2014 . I have activated 09 inspection type in material master . Now when I am executing QA07 for the material with checkbox " To insp. stock at lot creation" selected and with initial run in days = 4 . System shows following msg in green :
"No batches found for processing"
But it should create a lot for the above batch because inspection date is 7.6.2014 . Stock also exist

How to find a code group with a defect type catalog 09 in Report (QM10) output
Hi folks,
I am working on a implementation project with Quality notification for customer complaints.
One of the requirement from business was to see the Reason(Code Group) i.e. the defect type catalog 09 that is responsible for the lot to be rejected.
They want to see this Code Group in the reporting output in QM10.
I am not able to find the selection in change layout. Can someone help me is there a way to show this.
If not can you tell the steps regarding which table to pass the values and pick them from which table and field.

Quality lot not updating with Variant config specs
Hi Friends,
I am facing an issue with VC part, please
provide your inputs.
Scenario: We have material sub contracting
process with VC.
Creating a PR, then convert to Purchase order. While doing the GR, system is
creating a Quality lot as per the Inspection Plan.
Requirement: We
maintained a Variant table, while creating PR, system is picking the values
from my variant table but At the time of Quality lot generation, It is picking
it from Quality lot. We want system to pick the values from the Variant table.
Process we are following:
Maintained the Variant table and all VC
settings
Created Class characteristic: We don’t want
to maintain the
values in Class characteristic, so we left it blank, It has to pick it from the
Variant table. Char format is ‘NUMBER’
MIC: Creating an MIC with reference to the
Class
characteristic, Control indicators are coming blank, (this might be the issue
we are anticipating)
Maintained Inspection plan with spec limits
While doing the GR for the Purchase order,
system generating
an inspection lot but it is coming from the Insp Plan not from the Variant
table.

QA40 making usage decision for 03 lots with rejected MIC also

QA40 is making Usage decision for 03 type lots having defects also and also for the lost having rejected MICs . can anybody explain why its so because SAP help has mentioned that for automatic UD there should be no rejected MIC .

Quality Certificate for Goods Receipt - FAIR
Hi Guys,
I’m after some advice with regards to the QM module.
We implemented QM last year to support our incoming inspection process flow.
The following dynamic rules were created via TCODE QDR1
Z01 Inspection Always
Z02 3 Inspections Plus Annual
Z03 One Off Inspection
In the material master we have actived the inspection type 01.
Next steps:
Quality Certificate for Goods Receipt
We would like to set the certification flag to identify that a first article inspection report (FAIR) is required from goods externally procured.
Today all vendors are required to provide a FAIR with the 1st off receipt for a new material or items which have not been delivered for more than 12mths.
Is it possible to set/create much a rule in QM for the 1st del to be flagged certificate required?
My initial thoughts were
- 1. To setup quality information records for each material + vendor with the certificate “FAIR”.
- 2. Then create and assign an inspection plan for the first off delivery.
Problems I can see,
- 1. The certificate is only required for the first delivery regardless if the material requires a 2nd 3rd or 4th del to be inspected
- 2. How to apply the settings and reset them when a FAIR requirement (Annual)
- 3. Creation of this rule would have to accommodate the current QM rules not impact?
Has anyone implement certifications in this way or could they suggest a way it could be managed.

Use of differnet radio buttons in QA07
Hi All ,
What the basic difference between below radio buttons in qa07 :
Lot creation only : it will create lot only
To insp. stock at lot creation : It will create lot and post qty from un restricted to restricted
Block Batch at lot creation : It will create lot and block batch
but what's the use of To insp. stock at inp. date and block batch at inspection date .and how they are different from options above them

COA Requirement for 'Assembly' products
Dear Experts
We are in process of Implementing SAP QM using ECC 6.0 and we have one requirement for our "Toll Manufacturer" (Third Party Producers for us). These toll manufacturers produce chemical products for us and do the Quality Checks and Ship to customer. They have their own tool (non SAP) to monitor/record Production Data and Quality Details. During the implementation of QM in our own production facilities globally, we also migrate these toll manufacturer from the existing QM tool they are using to SAP QM.
The need for COA in our own facilities have been meet, but for toll manufacturing sites, the requirement is as below to address:
These toll manufacturers currently generate COAs on “Assembly” products. What this means is that the test data can be pulled from multiple products and then combined on the “Assembly” COA. For example in their current legacy system , toll manufacturers uses “ Assembly ” functionality to capture results for any Component (say C1) and this result is used in various Assemblies (Finished Goods, say F1 and F2). Now while printing COAs they refer the batch / lot result for the C1 to print in Assemblies (F1 , F2) . Is there any such functionality available in SAP Qm or can you please advise how to address this requirement prefrably using standard SAP system?

vendor evaluation criteria rejects/complaints
Hi,
I have configured the vendor evaluation to look at the rejection/complaints sub criteria with the scoring method as 8 = Automatic Determ. from Quality Stat.: Quality Notification. The first time I create a notification, the score drops from 100 straight to 1. Then later no matter how many notifications I create and close with external or internal origin, the score remains at 1. How do I change the score ?
Also is it mandatory to use the Q2/F2 notifications types for vendor evaluation.? What if I create my own Z notification type with origin Q2 ? Will vendor eval still work ?

QM : First inspection lot -> inspection plan, other inspection lot another insp. plan
Hello.
Is it possible with standard SAP when it is create the first inspectio lot for material/vendor ( origin 01) that it takes an inspection plan, and for the next inspection lot that will be created for the same material/vendor ( origin 01) that system takes from another inspection plan ????
Or have i to user a badi/user-exit?? which?

Problem facing during recording of QP01 in SHDB
Hi All
My requirement is to mass upload of inspection plan and for this i am thinking of using BDC.
But while doing recording in SHDB i am facing the following problem during MIC entry against operation in characteristic overview screen.
1-Selected one operation and went for characteristic overview screen.
2-In the field of MIC i have selected one MIC by F4 search , then entered.
3-Now a window opens where the same MIC , plant and version no exists.In the same window also another field asks for inspection method which is not required in my case.(Screen shot attached).
4-To avoid this i just closed the window then windows for control indicators displayed.After entered the control indicator details system asks for Characteristic description.
5-After completing the above step system asks me to fill Quant data.
6-After completing step-5 the page of characteristic overview screen appears in which MIC which was entered in step-2 is not seen.
7-Now the above processes gets repeated and not able to enter MIC.
Did some google but not getting any appropriate solution.Please let me know if i am following any wrong step or the above steps can be avoided by any other method.

SAP QM unable to pick Code group & code in creation of defect in QA32
Hi every one,
I am new to QM , can any one guide me to solve this issue.
In T code QA32 after results recording, am trying to maintain defect document of one of reject MIC. But, i am unable to pick Code group or code. System showing error "Code group QM-Q contradicts the code group of the catalog profile "

SAP QM-Notification type is not showing in QM10
Hi,
I want to check the list of quality notification using T code QM10 for notification type ZQ. But, in notification type field I am not finding ZQ type.
Please tell me, what are the steps to be followed while creating & assigning quality notification?

Inspection for HU: inspection lot not created upon packing
Hi All,
I want to inspect a material by Handling Unit, I have set "Inspection for HU" within the Inspection Setup of the material master. I created PO and inbound delivery, in the inbound delivery I did packing, but inspection lot is not created after packing. When I go on with MIGO, system throws error message "Change the inspection stock of material in QM only", according to this message, there should be an inspection lot already created, but I cannot find it in QA32.

Hi,
I am following these steps for raw material inspection.
- MM01 - Maintaining QM- view & assigned inspection setup
- QDV1 - Creation of sampling procedure
- QS21 - Creation of MIC's.
- QP01 - Creation of Inspection plan
- QA01 - Creation of Inspection lot.
- QA32 - Picking inspection lot, Results recording, Usage decision
Please correct me if i missed any thing.
