Scrap process for co-products

Dears,

I am dealing with the process to scrap part that has coproducts, but i am quite confused how to procede.

 

The BoM is like:

 

Mian part: A (left hand) (1 pc)

Co-product1: B (right hand)  1- pc

Co-product2: M 1-pc

Co-product3: N  1-pc

 

Part A and B are of a set, A is left hand and B is right hand, M and N are the specimens for them. All of them are manufactured toghter by automated machine.

 

The problem is due to machine breakdown Part A is damaged by the cutter but Part B and Specimen M and N are in good condition.

(part A and B both are interchangeable parts, not required to use part of same set)


After inspection, the Part A cannot be repaired and need to scrap.

 

So I would like to know what is the correct process to do this kind of Scrap process, is by confirming yeil "0" while Scrap "1"?

or just confirm it as usual, Yeild "1" and then do scrap use Movement type 551? 

And also we want a planned order pop up in MD04 to recover the scrap, is that possible?

Gurus,

I am trying to activate QM view thru  QA08.I have given the list of materials & selected

Mass processing

Then options

Activate despite inspection stock,Do not display material list & Create change documents & then executed transaction it goes into the QM view of material master  & get a message in green,


Maintain the parameters to be setup for inspection type.I have selected the required check boxes when i press enter i get a msg

 

No entries found what is the issue?

Linking existing physical sample to new inspection lot

Hello Experts,

 

We use sample management in QM. The physical samples are generated for the inspection lot of a batch. But if the batch is required to be reinspected at a later instance during delivery, we would like to create a new inspection lot and connect to the existing physical sample of the batch. Can I do this automatically in background. Here is the scenario.

 

Inspection lot and multiple samples are created for a batch during goods receipt from production. Inspection is completed, UD is done, stock is moved to unrestricted. While PGI to customer I would like to create a new inspection lot for the batch and attach to the existing physical samples of the batch and move the stock to quality.

 

I know new lot can be created for existing sample but this is manual and not relevant to stock posting.

Serial Number error while posting UD

Hi all,

 

I am getting an error message "Serial number xxxx not suitable for movement type". "Serial number xxxx cannot be used here" while making usage decision for an production material. The error is happening only for the particular GRN. The GRN was done for 251 quantity and the problem is with 97 serial numbers only, for the 154 quantity system did not show any error message.

First I tried to change the status and update stock details for the serial number thru' IQ02 but there also getting an error message business transaction not allowed.

Could not change serial no. profile in material master as the particular material has open production orders. Tried to cancel GRN for the material but system is giving the same error "Serial number xxxx not suitable for movement type". "Serial number xxxx cannot be used here". Tried to do posting using the t.code MI10 but there also getting the same error "Serial number xxxx not suitable for movement type". "Serial number xxxx cannot be used here".

I tried to replicate the error message in development and quality system but could not as system is working fine. The problem occurred only for the select set of serial numbers and not for all.

When I checked in SCN got an sap note 1229108 in which it is mentioned that the error could be because issuing SL is not mentioned in the order.

I would like to know whether we can apply sap note directly in production system or not.

usage decision vs result recording.

Hi All Guru,

 

I am new in QM , was MM & PP support. I am confused here about the usage decision vs result recording.

I do understand in QM there's inspection lot , in order to release the inspection lot , i should released the UD.

 

So what's the different between this both ?

Can i have inspection lot without result recording ?

Or can i have inspection lot without UD ?


Please help to clarify my confuse.

warning message instead of error message during PO creation in QM in procurement

Hi,

I activated QM procurement for a material and put a control key with delivery release, certificate required and invoice block....Now for that material, vendor and plant combination created QM info record and put some release qty...Now after the release qty is reached then when I am making next Purchase Order system is throwing warning message instead of error message and allowing me to create PO...where I need to convert the warning message to error message...

Restrict Delivery making without Inspection type

Dear All,

 

I want to restrict Outbound creation if inspection type not maintained in the material master for specific material.

In my business process quality inspection is also being done in '10' inspection lot

In some cases due to not activated inspection type '10' in the material master , inspection lot not getting generate hence on the basis of inspection lot 10* Test Certificate couldn't able to generated.

As we all aware about '10' inspection lot can't be generate manually.

 

Please suggest if any user exit available to restrict delivery making without inspection type activation in the material master.

I have generated PR from Project (PS).after GRN material will go into Special Stock

In this case by QA07, Recurring inspection Lot do not generate.It only works in case of free stock

Modification Rule(08) allows Full Testing for Quality Batch

Hi Friends

 

I have case wherein the system allows Full testing in QE51N for material which has been maintained Modification Rule-08 in order

 

to do reduced testing.

 

The Modification Rule included in the inspection plan  does not work as expected while Processing in QE51N transaction.

 

Please note that we are Pharma industry.

Material inspection is not happening when multiple handling units exist for an item

We are having an issue in the advance return process when the inbound delivery is having multiple handling units for the one item, system is not performing material inspection  and hence the credit memo request is not created. We are trying to see if there is a way to skip material inspection in this process so that credit memos can be created. Can you please advise on this

Digital signature upload during insp result upload

But whch all materials has digital signature, I am facing problem pass data( sap user id and passwd),Please help,

QM Manual Inspection Lot - with Inspection lot origin 89

Hi QM Guru,

 

I did maintain inspection type 10 in this material but while i would like to create the inspection lot manually.

I try to create manual inspection lot manually , i encounter this error with Inspection lot origin 89.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

 

No valid inspection type for material 10000037 was found or selected

Message no. QA280

Diagnosis

An active inspection type for the material 1XXXXXXX in plant XXXX could not be found for the specified origin 89 or none of the available inspection types was selected.

System Response

Inspection lots cannot be created.

Procedure

Check the inspection type setting in the material master.

 

Is there anything which i missing ?

Quality notification thru Usage Decision in Inspection Lot

Hello Experts,

We are using quality notification in SAP, our business users want that if lot is rejected for incoming material, system should create notification to complaint against vendor automatically or UD should not be allowed to save till notification screen is filled. in Standard SAP either we have to go to QM01 screen after giving UD as rejected which is person driven moreover it not links with inspection lot. Second way is  to  go to defect tab in QA32 before giving UD and results which links with inspection lot but it does not serve our purpose.

Scrapping of QI stock which was received from a process order that is closed 2 years back

Dear Quality Experts,

I have an incident in which we need to Scrap the Quality inspection-Quarantine stock.

The details of the issue are

1. QI stock received from a process order which is closed and settled 2 years back.

2. The material was having inspection type with Auto UD without IP

3. Physically the stock is not existing on the Quality inspection floor.

4. Material is having batch without Inspection lot.

5. Batch SLED date is in the past (2013)

6. Tried MB1A with movement type 553 without success.

 

Kindly suggest a solution.

Alphanumeric number range for object QMERKRUECK

Hi all

 

I have raised a question on number range object QMERKRUECK few days back.

 

Internal number assignment for object QMERKRUECK (numbers are in critical area)

 

With reference to the same please let me clear, if it is possible to create alpha numeric number range for the same object.

 

I tried in SNRO but system does not allow for this.Next is , if any userexits are there to achieve this.

 

I know, this issue is hardly seen in any implementation but if anybody has gone through this and got a proper solution, please share your experience.

Issue filtering task list by Responsible

Hello,

 

I guess there must be a note for this already, since the transaction is standard, but I haven't been able to find it (I've searched by the strings provided in the dump's Long Text).

 

We are using Quality Notifications; users wish to use transaction QM12 to be able to filter Tasks by Responsible User, which is one of the fields in the search screen.

 

When we simply ask for a list of Tasks, it works well, but when we input a Responsible User in the search screen, we get a dump (attached). We know we could create different filtered layouts, or select whatever is pending (which could be a lot) and then filter, but of course it would be best if the search field worked.

 

Does any of you know how to fix this error?

Text to be displayed in QE51N / Results recording screen

  Hi

 

Please help for the following requirement:

 

As an instruction to the results recorder, want to display some text of more than 100 characters (to be entered in Inspection plan) in
QE51N screen for each MIC. I could use Info Field 2 [DUMMY20] and Info Field 3 [DUMMY40] of MIC in Inspection plan so as to populate in QE51N , but the total length of chars is limited to 60 (20+40).

 

Constraints: Without using Inspection method , No long text for MIC description and Info Field 1 [DUMMY10] is used for other purpose

 

Can you please suggest where I can possible enter the information in Inspection plan in order to get it displayed in QE51N?
