I have all authorization given by my company. So please confirm how to give T-code authorization to specific User id.
I want to give qa32, qa01, qa03, qe51n T-code authorization to one of the user. Basis person has resign so this task i have to do.
Please confirm me step wise method to achieve this.

During working with a UD reversal program by using SAP note 175842 i came to know that the posting date only comes as the current date.
If Today i am reversing the UD of a batch which is 15 days old (Example-15.02.2014) then the posting date in the material document will be of today.
But my requirement is that, date should be the actual inspection lot creation date ie. 15.02.2014 . I have already discussed with the technical team , as
per their understanding no option is there to edit the standard program.
Please help me in this regard, is there any option to change the posting date.

By mistakely while created inspection plan i used incorrect sampling procedure due to which maunal inspection lot got created as 890000000011 but system was not allowing to do the result recording against lot No 890000000011.
Then i discover the error and made the correction in inspection plan by changing the sampling procedure and then when i go to do the result recording then system does not allow me to enter the results against lot no 890000000011 but if i create the inspection lot then system allow properly.
So please confirm whether the correction made can't be applicable to previous lots 890000000011 ? Or otherwise can we cancel the lots 890000000011 ? If yes then how ?

Our business requirement is is Inspecton date falls in intial run days then just create an inspection lot without posting stock in QI. But when we run deadline monitoring job second time and if "next inspection date becomes today's date" then only post stock from UNR to QI. What option should I select in QA07/ QA05 to meet this requirements?
First I tested with "to inspection stock at inspection date" option but in this case if 'next insp. date' falls in initial runs then system create a lot and post stock in QI, which we don't want to do. Even this option creates an inspection lot if next insp date is future date not today's. If Next insp. date becomes todays date and lot is still open then only just post stock in QI for an open lot.
Secondly I started testing with 'Lot creation only' option. This option does create a lot without posting stock in QI. But when next insp date becomes today's date then deadline monitoring does not post stock in QI for open lot.
Don't suggest me any document to read. Just suggest acording to your exp.

I have a question related to UD distribution respectively distribution of material document created once UD is recorded; the distribution is IDoc-based (message MBGMCR). My idea is to create output message (e.g. ZUDD) for ALE trans. medium and logical system LS but don´t know what processing program / routine should be used. The distinction of material document created from UD is a transaction / even key WQ. The IDoc handling will be done via XI, so how to trigger output message from R/3? The purpose is to distribute information of stock posting (from initial QI to UU or BL) to external WMS system.

For one of the material in material master we assigned Insp type Z01 with Preferred and active tick.
Still that material not moving to QI stock after GRN.
Can any one suggest what I am missing here at plant settings and well configuration for Insp type Z01 to create Insp lot.

Stock is posted in Quatity stock by mvt type 411 without inspection lot wronly/
So i will trying to cancel the documet which is generated by mvt type 411. but it is giving error "Change the inspection stock of material ABC in QM only"

Has anyone got any expertise on how to deal with MDL (method detection levels) in SAP?
This is a requirement from a Chemical business working with electronics customers.
For example, a material has got upper spec limit of 5 ppm and lower spec limit of 0 ppm. MDL for the material is 1 ppm.
This means that if a recorded result is below 1 ppm, then COA should display it as <=1 ppm (ie less than MDL). If recorded result is over 1 ppm and below the upper spec limit, then print the actual test value.
I know a new text element can help with showing a test value as <= Lower spec limit. But in our case the lower spec limit is different to MDL.
So two questions:
a. what is the appropriate field to store MDL in an inspection plan in ECC6.0?
b. how to display the recorded result correctly on COA using Adobe forms?
We are not using material specifications or batch characteristics to store test values.

I am having scenario that my UD should not happen without stock posting.
I am having inspection type 04 with early inspection lot check, so inspection lot is created during order processing, and there is background job running every 30 mins, so what happen is when lots created during order, UD is posted even there is no quanity is assigned to that lot and even without GR of of that order and stock remains in quality even though UD is done, so I am trying to create user status profile to prevent this, please help me for setting of this scenario.

This has been an interesting thread, and it's circling around the issue I am having, but I can't tell if this thread answers my question or not. I'll ask here so as not to proliferate duplicate threads:
I am in an environment where the business produces and tests finished goods in satellite plants and then moves them to a central DC via STO. When I try to create COAs from the central DC, the COA program cannot find the results or specifications.
I had the idea to change the profile to look at the production chain (thinking the batch in the production plant was part of the production chain of the identical batch in the DC). When I did this, the program could not find the correct specifications. I have been messing with the configuration around the results and specification origins with no success.
I feel like this should be possible, but I can't figure out what I am missing. Is SAP able to create a COA from a central DC for a material/batch that was produced in a satellite plant and sent via STO?

When I create a Master Inspection Characteristic via QS21, I can put in an existing Class characteristic as a link. Results from Quality Insp. should then update the batch charateristic for my material. However, this does not happen.

Sometimes if the material is rejected then also we approve the material under deviation. So while UD we want that system automatic mail to concern person that so and so material was approved under deviation and also in future we should be able to track that which person had approved the material under deviation.
Please explain me the procedure.

As soon as inspection lot gets created then email should go to specific user. We prepare inspection lot through qa01 and also when UD is been then automail should go to the concern person.

Hi all,
I'm new to the QM system, and have been running into an issue with QE51N. When I add a production order through the dynamic selections, it comes up with the message of 'No entries found'
Here's what I know so far:
-I've tried both production type PP01 and ZPIO
-The status in CO03 is 'REL PRT PRC ILAS MACM SETC'
-The inspection lot system status in QA03 is 'REL CALC'
-All inspection characteristics are released as seen in QS24
-In MM03, the material number's inspection setup is activated (e.g. InspType is set to 03, and set to check characteristics)
-CA03 is listing all inspection characteristics on the routing. usage is 1, status is 4
I've got to be missing something that is causing this to not work, and I ran out of ideas a long time ago. Please advise if I need to further clarify the current state, and specifically what I should try to alleviate the problem (again, relatively new to QM so I might have missed something completely obvious)

Some of the characteristic specification are fixed and we want it to appear as it is while result recording. So please confirm how it can be achieve.
For example : If for product A our specification(inspection plan master) is moisture = < 2. So while result recording this moisture is considered as actual result and is not been changed so we want to fix it instead of typing again and again in result recording.

I am assisting a client implementing QM and Mii.
I've lots of experience with QM, and none with Mii.
The Mii Lead passed a series of Standard BAPIs (approx. 30) to me with the statement:
"Hope this help to find which will work for us based on their data configuration".
What am I to do with this information??
How should it be studied??
What should I take away from this information?.......... with the goal of assisting him implementing Mii???

I have an unusual requirement from my client.
I have much experience with all the MM01/02 inspection type assignments as well as their associated triggers.
I have a need to perform an Ad Hoc (type 89) inspection, with assigned characteristics, which is not associated with a material.
I've never been tasked to do this.
How would you suggest we approach this?? Will it require special coding, customization, or config.,
We will be implementing Mii as well. Can this be accomplished via Standard QM?

I had created 1 MIC as Refernce with QN type,sampling procedure is assigned,created sampling procedure with Fixed sample and tolerance check and sample as 5 and free inspection point.This mic is assigned to the inspection plan, but it does allow to assing my sampling procedure.If i use sampling procedure as Fixed sample and manual validation the procedure get assigned but when inpsection lot is generated i cannot enter the value it comes with selection (F4) having value accept/Reject,i want quantitative mic where i can enter the value.
