Change/update Material after non compliant Lot

Hi Gurus,

 

I have a question please regarding a client requirement.

 

The client has a special business process about inspection at the end of the production order.

 

After an "In process inspection", the client requested the following actions :

 

* New Production Order creation

 

* Depending on the quality level of the Lot :

     - Decommissioning to another material

     - Sale the Lot

 

 

Could you please explain how can we handle the decommissioning/declassification to another material ?

For example, we created a Production Order to produce a Metal with 50% of Carbon. But after the inspection performed at the last operation, we realize that the obtained metal is with 30% of Carbon only.

 

How can we manage that through SAP QM please ?

Sampling scheme based on Cumulative Goods Receipt Quantity

Hi QM Gurus,

 

I have one requirement to calculate the sample based on cumulative goods receipt.

 

For example, for the first 1 million pcs of material A, sample size should be 100%.

After 1 million upto 2 millions goods total goods receipt of A, sample size should be 50%.

From 2 to 3 million, it is 25% and so on........

 

I know I have to use DMR and sampling procedures with scheme.

But I could not find any way to create a sampling scheme where I can set Goods receipt quantity.

I can set lot size and sample size but it is not the solution as sample size is based on cumulative quantities received so far.

 

It would be great if you can share your thoughts and ideas here on how to proceed with standard SAP.

 

Otherwise, I need to look for some exit to know the total GR qty till date and then call the stages of DMR accordingly.

When I run t-code QGA4. The list box "Inspection Lot" or "Notification" is disappeared from the screen, and I can only choose inspection w/o defect in Selection. could anyone help me? Thank you very much.

Quality to Quality Stock transfer within 2 Steps

Team,

 

We are having a requirement in our organization to map the Quality Management(QM - Inspection Lot) process only when stock is moved to respective Plant/Storage Location after the GRN is processed. Where as it shouldn't raise a Inspection Lot at initial Warehouse.

 

Looking forward for some custom exits/development to enhance this change as per our business process.

 

Kindly suggest on this.

Colors in QE51N blue vs black

Hi
When I run transaction QE51N (Results Recording Worlist), I got a result of a lot of inspection lots in the left side.

Most of the lines are in the color blue, but a few of them are black.


Can anyone tell me, what the difference is, and maybe relevant tables behind.

I have 3 Inspection Lots from Good Receipt.

 

for Example:

 

Inspection Lot 1          Charg AAA

Inspection Lot 2          Charg BBB

Inspection Lot 3          Charg CCC

 

I needan inspection lotwith these3batchesas partiallots.


for Example:


Inspection Lot 999

     Partial Lot 1 CHARG AAA

     Partial Lot 2 CHARG BBB

     Partial Lot 3 CHARG CCC


ButI have nodelivery,no order,nocustomer.


How can I solvethis requirement?

Stock transfer to unrestricted only for specific storage locations while making GRN

Hi QM Experts,

 

Great day to all of you..

 

I have a requirement from the client i.e. even though if QM is enabled while making GRN against PO through MIGO with specific storage locations stock has to move to the unrestricted instead of Quality directly

 

As per my knowledge we can deactivate the tick mark stock post to inspection stock if make it then system will post for all storage locations

 

could you please help me on this requirement

Generating the COA for non-batch managed serialized materials

Hello QM Guru's,

 

I have a requirement to generate a COA for a material that is not batch managed but serialized along with the serial numbers and results.

 

Here are the steps that I followed:

 

1. Created a process order with a serialized material and serial numbers are created at the time of releasing the process order

2. Posted the goods receipt against the process order and the serial numbers are present in the material document

3. 04 Inspection lot is created. I can see the serial numbers in the inspection lot

 

When I am trying to record the results, System is not letting me get into the Units to be Inspected Tab, instead it is only taking me to the summarized results tab. So does standard SAP only supports Units to be  Inspected view in results recording for Batch managed materials? If yes, How do I record the results against each serial number for a non-batch managed material?

 

p.s. I can record the results against each serialized number for a batch managed material with out a problem and was able to generate the cert with serial numbers

 

Question 2:

 

How do I achieve the requirement of generating a cert with serial number for non-batch managed serialized material? I tried generating a cert using QC21 against the inspection lot with standard SAP COA script form but did not see the serial numbers on the cert?

 

What are the possible options to generate a cert for a non-batch managed serialized material from QC20 with the serial numbers and results using a delivery number, as the inspection lot number may not be available with the WH folks at the time of creating a delivery.

Hi ,

 

Unable to do Post good receipt for the Sales returns from the customer . Created Sales Orders for returns , created delivery and when trying to do PGR receives the following message .

 

' Change the inspection stock of material XXXXXXXXXin QM only '

 

And No inspection lot or the material stock seen in the system. please advice.

Dear Team,

 

This is my requirement as below.

 

For recurring inspection, lot generally creates before 21 days of the

date of expiry

 

 

When there is only one batch available, PPC cannot issue the material to

shop

Hence when a lot is created by the system for recurring inspection only

sample stock to be moved under quality and the remaining qty. should be

in unrestricted location so that the stock can be issued.

 

 

When the lot is rejected in the retest, auto mail should be generated

stating all the details to all the concerned personnel.

whether it is possiable in Standard SAP or not. If it is possiable tell me the process.

 

it is urgent.

Creation of sample size as inspection lot quantity

Dear SAP User,

 

 

I want to know how to create Inspection lot quantity wise sample size. Suppose FG- XYZ has been produced 10 pcs against process order. GR inspection setup has been activated. Hence after production of 10 pcs , Inspection lot created. Through Usage decision qty can be transferred to unrestrictive.

 

My Quarry: - How to reset dynamically sample size against Inspection lot qty. For example;

 

Inspection lot qty                 Sample Size

 

2 to 8                                                            2

9 to 15                                                          3

16 to 25                                                        5

So on...

 

Sample size only dynamically will display, this will not be reduced lot qty.

Please let me know step by step procedure.

When restart the maintenance schedule through IP10, inspection lots generated again

Good morning.

I am working on SAP QM/PM. I have created a quality notification through QM01 with stability study type. The maintenance plan and inspection lots were generated. But when I try to restart the schedule through IP10, again three more inspection lots are generated for every 3 months. Can you please tell me the reason for this ASAP?

Changes to MIC control indicators

Hi

 

I need some help with MIC’s.

I have an actively used MIC assigned to QM plan / Reference operation set. The MIC uses a Class characteristic and is set as “Reference characteristic” and Quantitative. The Class characteristic is linked to Variant config tables.

One of the control indicators were initially set incorrectly and only became known recently:


Upper Specification Limit was set instead of Lower Specification Limit

 

I have tried various methods to try and change the indicator, without success – including:

  1. Removing class from MIC, then change control indicator, and then assign class back – but issued with error “The class char. and the master inspection char. are not compatible (Message no. QS081)”
  2. Creating new version of MIC – but field “Class char.” is not available for input
  3. Creating new MIC – but then error “Class charac. is already linked with master insp. charac….. (Message no. QS094)” – although I’ve removed “old” MIC from Reference operation set and Class char from “old” MIC.

 

I would appreciate any comments.

Long term Planning Inspection

Dear Expert,

 

In Inspection Plan we have activated all MICs with long term inspection indicator, then we forcefully completed result recording by selecting forcefull selection button (status to 5)  then we have done UD and now system status change to UD ICCO SPCO STUP and If again need to change the result we need to come to UD change, Edit >Reset > Inspection Completion.

 

Do we have any other option to record the result without changing UD change status i.e going to Edit>Reset>Inspection Completion.

Validity date of inspection plan, mic

Would there be any impact by Inspection plan which has been created with later date  as validity date than the Purchase Order, production order etc.,

 

similarly if the MIC also has been created on a later date than the Purchase order and production etc., what kind of impact,  will it causes an error during QM Inspection production...

i have requirement that user wants a report in which he can see MICs results generated by In process inspection and its related final inspection.

for example he has a material 12345678, during production he did in process inspection. after conformation he did 04 inspection. now on 1 report he wants results of 03 and its corresponding 04 inspections. is there any way we can link 2.

Hi,

My expertise is in MM and I could use some help being steered in the right direction of PP when it comes to mapping system to this process:

 

1) Raw material is procured and brought into inventory

2) It goes through a standard process of several stages: for example, quality inspection, cataloging, and photography

3) At the end of this process, material gets scrapped. It never goes through manufacturing.

 

The exact same process stages are applied to hundreds of materials each year (regardless of material). I’d like to get reporting out of system to know when material has completed process A, process B, process C, etc. (An end-user would transact in system to indicate his completion of process)

 

And I’d like to collect costs on entire process. For example, it’s $100 for process A, $100 for process B, and $100 for process C. A material that goes through entire process collects $300 of cost. But if material gets scrapped after only first process, it’s $100 of cost.

 

While procurement and inventory is focused on 'raw material', I'm open to managing a finished good and BOM....or forgetting raw material altogether and just managing at FG level (since FG is one-to-one with RM)

 

Can somebody suggest the transaction flow for above process?

Create & Release Notification Task from QQMA0014

Dear experts, I am building up a very simple custom workflow solution for quality notifications based upon business rules/logic (background: we just decided not to use the standard SAP workflow). The logic has been implemented in QQMA0014 in order to determine whether a new task should be created or not for the notification.

 

In order to achieve the requirement we planned to use the following standard function modules:

 

BAPI_QUALNOT_ADD_DATA (used to add new task)

BAPI_QUALNOT_SAVE (save the changes made to the notification)

BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT (commit changes on database)

BAPI_QUALNOT_CHANGETSKSTAT (used to release the task)

BAPI_QUALNOT_SAVE (save the changes made to the notification)

BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT (commit changes on database)

 

And so we decided to create a Z function module with all above mentioned BAPIs that could be called from QQMA0014 and executed in the update task after notification save. The problem is that SAP does not allow explicit commit work commands when the Z function module is executed in the update task, meaning that I cannot release the newly created task because the BAPI_QUALNOT_CHANGETSKSTAT will not find it in the database.

 

Any ideas how to solve the problem? Your inputs will be highly appreciated.
