Process - Booking into Stock

Our Organization a setup of the following process from procurement to inventory as shown below.

We are having issues with this current process flow as after parts are delivered, it goes into inspections and on QM-Lot status. Once inspection is done it goes into stock (showing in SAP as already in-stock) regardless wether there is a NCR or QN generated during inspection. This creates two problems for us

  1. stock levels are inaccurate as it doesn't differentiate bad stock from a good stock.
  2. Items with QN does not get focus to get resolved (as it shows to be in stock). We always get caught out that there is an issue with a part when we are picking/issuing from stores

 

I would like to add another step in between QM-Lot and Stores when there is an NCR on the part preventing it to go into stock.

 

is there something in SAP to change this flow?

Function Module to display data from Quality Notification in Action Box

Hi,

 

I have requirement to display some legacy data in the Quality notification via Action Box link.

 

 

We already have the connection build from legacy to SAP via web services. Right now we want that data to be display when we hit the action box link in Quality Notification(QM02).

 

I configured the function module "QISD_SOLUTION_DATABASE" .

When I hit on the link in action box, I want to display on the data that is passed from legacy data in the pop-up.

 

Can someone suggest what can be done so that I only want to display the data in the test field and don't want to show anything below that is cross-marked.

Inspection lot status is UD ICCO SPCO STUP but stock is in quality

Iam PP/MM consultant have basic idea in QM module, need your suggestion in resolving the issue.

I have a product which is struck in Quality stock for almost a year.Inspection lot created with inspection type S08 and status is UD ICCO SPCO STUP whereas stock is still lying in Quality. While checking in the previous posts I got to know with SAP note 48815 (Stock Inconsistencies between MM and QM can be resolved by creating a report as guided in the note).

Need your suggestion to resolve the issue.

Inspected stock posting to multiple storage location without batch

Hi,


At the time of Usage Decision, I want to post the inspected stock to multiple storage location i.e., Rejected Stock to Scrap Storage Location, Qualified Stock to Unrestricted Use Storage Location.

Unable to create an FMEA object using a template, with copy actions indicator selected

Create an FMEA object with a function list, defect and an action.

 

Now create a new FMEA using the template option and selecting the copy actions indicator. use the newly created FMEA object as reference for creating a new one.

When i try to save it. It gives a "data not saved error", as it fails to save it.
gives an error that the planning element already exists.

where to process Containers numbers for recurring inspection with sample-drawing procedure considered no. of containers

hi, experts

     The recurring inspection plan has adpoted sample-drawing procedure which consider containers number.

     Now when use QA07 transaction code to create an inspection lot, the inspection lot has not calculated sample quatity.

     Bescause the inspection lot has no containers numbers and unit, which information has to be inputed by QA02 manually.

     any experts can give any advice about this question， the containers number has maintained when purchase order received for purchased inspection, why should we maintain again for recurring inspection lot for the same material and batch.

Exit or any enhancement for COHV

Hello,

 

I am facing problem while using the Inspection by configuration. During COHV when user releases the production order, then system creates inspection lot even there is no QM operation assigned. But as i have used Inspection by configuration setting in material master so definitely system will assign the MIC in last PP related operation and generates the inspection lot.

 

Now, i need some exit or workaround so that i will skip the inspection lot creation step if no QM operation is there. system will generate only when QM operation assigned in PP order via COHV. CO01 it's working fine as already one exit is implemented but while using COHV, this exit fails and allow inspection lot creation even though there is no QM operation.

Compulsary to enter the result while QE51N for required MIC's

Hi Experts,

 

We have a requirement of master inspection characteristics results to be made compulsory for those characteristics having an controlled indicator maintained as required.

 

Means, when I do result recording through QE51N system should allow me to save the document if I have not maintained the results in MIC having controlled indicator as "Required"

 

For Example:

 

If I have maintained 10 characteristics to the material through QP01 out of which 6 characteristics are having a controlled indicator as required and rest are "optional", then while doing the result recording system should give me an error if I have not mentioned the result for any of the 6 characteristic.

 

Or

 

It is also OK if the system allows me to save without entering results but it should not allow me to post the stock to unrestricted through QA11.

Qty missing from Cert

Hi All,

 

I'm searching to no avail using the normal troubleshooting routes.....

 

I have a client user question:

 

I have two COAs.

 

One has a material quantity posting among the product overview info. when printed

 

One does not.

 

I've compared the profiles and I see no difference.

I've compared many other COAs from this mat./batch combo and see the qty. postings

In this current comparison, I see both mat. postings via the mat. docs. into QI and tht's OK

 

Can you tell me why I cannot see the qty. on one but can on the other?

Sample quanity not reducing after UD

Hi All,

 

I am having one strange issue. When I am performing the UD I am entering the qty to be posted in unrestricted and the quantity to be consumed to sample usage and then saving. But only the qty to be posted into unrestricted is moving but the sample usage qty still showing in QI stock though I can see the material document create for 331 movement.

 

Can you please help?

Hi All,

 

      Is it possible to exclude one storage location from recurring inspection? As i have already referred the below post for the same.

 

Inspection Lot

 

     If it's not possible in standard then, Is there any other user exit or enhancement to meet this requirement? Any other possible work around to achieve the same? Please share your suggestion.

Automate Usage Decision of Inspection Lot when material is moved out of one Storage Location to another

Hi guys,

 

 

I have a business scenario. We receive a production material from a different location into plant via trucks and immediately move the stock into a storage location A in the plant. Once the stock is moved to this storage location, we need to create a Inspection lot (Material/batch specific) and have an inspection for 72 hours. Further when this stocks moves from storage location A to storage location B the stock in the inspection lot needs to be decremented and  move from Quality to unrestricted. Further we want to close the inspection lot by doing a Auto UD when the inspection lot Qty becomes '0".

how to restrict the usage decision

Hello To All,

 

I have a semi finished material. In Material Master (QM view), I have selected 04 inspection type, and maintained the Average Inspection Duration to be 20 days.

Now my question is , how to prevent end user to release Inspection lot by accident /mistake before the specified date?

SAP should not allow to release it before 20 days.

 

can someone please guide on this.

Batch field disappearing

Hi all,

 

I have an issue when creating a notification manually through QM01. For every notification type I enter a batch and hit enter and the batch field disappears. I checked the table QMEL and the value is not saving. The material is batch managed and the batch has inventory in it. I checked the field selection layouts and nothing is hidden. Has anyone ever seen this before? Linking the batch to the notification is crucial and I cannot figure out why it disappears. Thank you for your help.

BAPI or FM for Material Assignment in QM Inspection Plan

Is there a possibility of using the BAPI or an FM - CZ_BT_MAPL_APPEND

to append a new material (material assignment) to an existing QM Inspection Plan?

 

if yes, kindly explain.

 

Note: This is possible via transaction QP02  and CWBQM - (Q_TSK_000000000010)

Mass upload of Inspection plan

Business want a tool which will be helpful to them to mass upload the contents of the inspection plan.

 

For example , If there are  four inspection plan with the name GA ,GB , GC and GD and each with group counter 1 .

So the requirement is that business will alter the sequence of MIC in an operation of a group  and upload it into a new group counter say 2.

 

There are lots of such inspection plan in which the sequence has to be altered .So they need a tool in which they can alter the sequence and also upload to the new group counter .Is there any solution to fullfill their requirement ?

Making QM view mandatory in material master creation

Hi all,

 

I want to achieve that for certain material type, system will not allow the material master to be saved if the QM view is not maintained. That is to make the QM view as mandatory for material master creation. is that possible?

Delivery of outgoing certificate not mandatory

Dear experts:

 

This is the business requirement. Even if our company has to always include outgoing certificates with our deliveries, there are some cases for some materials where we only do it as a courtesy and it is not mandatory. We do not want a delivery to get stuck just because we do not include this certificate for the materials where compliance is not required. How do we set that the delivery does not get stuck if a certificate is not included for a material?

 

We use catalog profiles and we are in ECC 6 EhP 6.

 

Please do not attach SAP HELP links. Just your point of view and the setting suggested in the system would be appreciated.
